Lodging Room Requirements

According to the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), all hotels and motels must provide guest rooms accessible to individuals with disabilities. The ADA includes specific language and requirements for hearing impaired accessibility.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires all hotels and motels to make their facilities equally accessible to those with physical disabilities. For Hearing Impaired guests, hotels and motels are required to provide rooms equipped with visual notification devices, telephone amplifiers and TDDs (Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf).
